On this most auspicious occasion of Gītā Jayantī, when Śrī Kṛṣṇa revealed the eternal wisdom of the Bhagavad-gītā to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukṣetra, we are reminded that confusion can become clarity and duty can transform into devotion.

This year, under the blessings of Śrīla Bhaktivēdānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja and the guidance of senior Vaiṣṇavas, IGVT Delhi and IGVT Odisha have taken a sacred Sevā-Sankalpa:

*श्रीमद्भगवद-गीता प्रथम सोपान है*

श्रीकृष्ण किसी को जन्म देते हैं, किसी की रक्षा करते हैं व किसी को मारते हैं और कोई दूसरा यह नहीं कर सकता। अर्जुन श्रीकृष्ण के कहने से युद्ध के लिए तैयार हो गये। तब ही जगतको सोने के थाल में यह अमृत-कलश प्रदान किया गया “सर्वधर्मान् परित्याज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज” व इससे ही जगत का कल्याण होगा। यह प्रारम्भिक [अवस्था का ग्रन्थ] है और श्रीमद्भागवात पीएचडी स्तर का ग्रन्थ है। गीता समाप्त होने के बाद में ही हम भागवत में प्रवेश कर सकेंगे।

आप सब बहुत प्रेम से हरिनाम करें। जैसे भी हो अपने कर्मोंको करते हुये चलते-फिरते, उठते-बैठते श्रद्धा नहीं है फिर भी हरिनाम करेंगे। [इस प्रकार] कृष्ण की कृपा प्राप्त होगी इसके अतिरिक्त [अन्य किसी उपाय से] हम अपने कर्मो को चुका नहीं सकते। इसीसे सुख-शांति व सर्वस्व प्राप्ति होगी। हृदय की अस्थिरता भी चली जायेगी। विश्वका कल्याण भी इसीसे होगा और अन्य किसी भी उपाय से नहीं हो सकता। एक दिन ऐसा आयेगा बाकी सब धर्म धीरे-धीरे लुप्त हो जायेंगे बस एकमात्र यही एक धर्म रह जायेगा। भगवान की शरणागति ही सनातन व नित्य धर्म है। यह ही महापुरुषों की वाणियाँ है और धीरे-धीरे ऐसा ही होगा।
