With the divine guidance of Śrīla Gurudev Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja and under the banner of the International Gauḍīya Vedānta Trust (IGVT), devotees from around the world gather every year for the sacred Śrī Navadvīpa-dhāma Parikramā — a 7-day pilgrimage culminating on Śrī Gaura Pūrṇimā.
Navadvīpa is the janma-bhūmi (birthplace) of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the golden incarnation of divine love. The Parikramā takes devotees through the nine islands of Navadvīpa (Nava-dvīpa), each representing a limb of bhakti—śravaṇa, kīrtana, smaraṇa, pāda-sevana, arcana, vandana, dāsya, sakhya, and ātma-nivedana.
During this Parikramā, devotees engage in nāma-saṅkīrtana, hari-kathā, and deep remembrance of the Lord’s merciful pastimes. It is a journey not of the feet alone, but of the heart — a purification of one’s consciousness through the association of pure devotees.
